Clowns: delightful or terrifying?
terrifying. the ostensible "we" are laughing at their misery. those white faces with the large red mouth? stephen king had it right in IT.
Who is the very first friend you ever had? Are you still in touch?
My sisters. Of course we're still in touch.
Why do you live where you live?
Submitted by memtony.I live in the Lower Haight because CW and I needed a bigger place when we decided to live together. We like the area he lived in (Duboce Triangle), so we moved four blocks away and like our new neighborhood (and apartment) even more.
We live in San Francisco (even though we hate the weather) because our friends are here and CW is still working at Google.
my room in the upper haight is available asap. $675/month, across from buena vista park on haight street. low-key housemates (2). two common rooms and kitchen. backyard. close to stores, etc... and all haight street bus lines: 6, 7, 43, 71, 33. i've lived here for 4+ years and have never had any household drama. everyone keeps to themselves and the bills are always paid on time. common areas are clean and everyone is respectful. send me a direct message with your info, if you're interested, please feel free to pass this along. thanks.
oh, chris' 1 bedroom apartment in duboce triangle is available as well, starting february 1 (possibly sooner). not sure of the rent yet, but if you're interested, we can possibly assist with that as well.

It's that time of year again. My stuff is for sale at the Post Postcard 10 Show. My friends and I usually use this an opportunity to get a jump on affordable gifts for the holidays. As always, my "hi 06" will have a box, in addition I've started doing some needlework and that will be there as well (I use this show to experiment with new designs or processes). All for very affordable prices ($17-$25). I hope to see you there!

The LAB is excited to present the 10th Anniversary Post-Postcard Show. For this open-invitational exhibition, artists can exhibit small format multiples-whether that be a series of hand-made paintings, production run postcards, or unique jewelry- basicallly anything that can fit into a shoe box! This show challenges artists to stretch the parameters of media and conceptual strategies by doing what they do best-subverting and manipulating a theme to their own ends.
We encourage you to participate in the fun! From November 30th through December 3rd, hundreds of small format works will be on view as the gallery is transformed into a bazaar-like bargain-hunter's paradise. Art lovers can explore original works and discover hidden gems at affordable prices while supporting emerging artists and a great alternative art space.
Fixed-price work will be available for $1 to $30. Cash, checks, VISA/MasterCard (for sales over $20) accepted. Become a member of The LAB and get a chance to preview the sale in our gallery on November 30 from 5-6 PM.
